About

Sketchbook Rambles is a friendly community of curious nature lovers and slow travelers drawing together. 🌿✏️

Each month brings a new drawing prompt (inspired by the seasons), drawing tips and inspiration, and live sketch-along sessions. Everyone is welcome. It’s a chance to slow down, play, spend time in nature, and make new friends.

Hi, I’m Ela, the founder of Sketchbook Rambles.

A few years ago, I rediscovered my love of drawing. I started taking a sketchbook with me on my travels and filling it with drawings, pressed flowers, and leaves.

Looking back at my sketchbook pages brings back vivid memories. Like these sketches:

They remind me of the cool breeze and the sound of sheep while wandering the English countryside one summer, and the small art museum our B&B host recommended, with quiet galleries and the best Victoria Sponge Cake.

Now, I take a small sketchbook with me on my walks and artist dates, and I’ve learned that the best place to enjoy nature (and travel) is often close to home.

I started Sketchbook Rambles to sketch more often and share the experience with other curious nature lovers and slow travelers.

Join me on a sketchbook ramble and follow along as I share drawing prompts, inspiration, favorite places, and more.

Ela
